Failing to catch his shocked expression, Rin started eating off her plate, taking it one bite at a time. Looking back up as she chewed it satisfied her to see him eating it as if it would all be taken away. She had seen hungry people eat before, but there was a difference between filling your belly just to fill it, and enjoying the food while doing so. She was use to seeing the later, and he was no exception.
"Mhmm," She mumbled around a bite, swallowing to talk, thinking she had sounded sarcastic and he was just playing along, "I was hoping to win you over with a good meal. You shouldn't eat so quickly though, you'll get the hiccups."

Kazen shrugs, his mouth full. He didn't care about getting the hiccups, but he was more conserned about the fact that Rin supposedly 'loved him.' Having never been in a situation like this before, he had no clue how he was supposed to react. After finishing several servings and starting to feel full, he sighs and glances at Rin. "So, you love me, eh? What's with the sudden change of heart?"

It didn't take much to fill Rin's belly, she was soon laying down on her good side with a lazy purr at his entertaining comments as he continued to ask about her love for him. She was starting to get the feeling that he had actually thought she was serious, and it was pretty darn hilarious to her at the moment. Why not keep it going and see how this supposedly cold-hearted, mass murdering demon took being confessed to.
"The last time I saw you, you mentioned me being like every other gnat in the world. Always lashing out at you even when you were trying to be nice. I suppose you could say that was my way of trying to deny it, but when you left me to myself I felt horrid and decided to try and regain your favor." At least it wasn't a total lie. She really was after his favor even if her reason for going after it wasn't for love.

Kazen shrugs, stuffed, and lies back, moving his sword so he doesn't lie on it. He knew this was likely a trick, he couldn't think of any scenario they'd had where she may have come to love him. Then again, who knew what this cat liked? He sighs. "So, why do you love me, then? I'm guessing you have a reason, since it's not that likely that you'd just come to love me over what we've been through." At this point, he decided that depending on her answer he might just play along to see what she did.
