In the short time it took him to come over and open the door, Rinka was already at his weapons, moving them around and even trying some out. There was quite the variety and they all must have been quite valuable to him. They were perfect. She figured she'd just move them around like he did with her jewels and call that particular part of her hate with him even.
At the moment, it didn't particularly matter to her that he came in during this, she was just putting them out of any sort of order he may have had. In fact, she didn't even look his way, glaring at her own reflection at one of the blades instead. Her voice was cold to him when she replied without looking, "Fine, where are we going?"

Kazen's face became a look of shock, then quickly became one of anger. He could take her being annoying, and then randomly turning into a leopard which he still didn't get, he could even take her shredding his bed. But no one was allowed to touch his armory or books without his permission, and she had done one of the two things he could actually get enraged over. Fighting hard to control his rage enough so he at least didn't transform into a demon, he knocked the blade from her grasp and grabbed her scruff, his hand on fire from his rage, he hauls her out of the room, activating the portal as he storms through the room and hauls her outside. When they get outside, he quickly closes the portal behind them and tosses her away from him.
"I can tolerate many things, but no one touches anything in my room without my permission. Now get out of my sight, before I change my mind about letting you live."
With that, he storms off in the direction of town, after a quick check to make sure no one could activate the portal to his home. Cursing her for actually getting him worked up to that point, and himself for letting her, he strolled off to do his errands, doing his best to calm down on his way to town.

Confusion swept over Rin when the blade was suddenly slapped out of her hands and something hot grabbed her from behind. The skin wasn't as sensitive at the scruff, being made to handle being picked up with sharp teeth, but it was still far too hot and immediately started to scorch her fur again- causing a horrid burning stench.
Despite her hissing and yowling at being burned more, Rin's instinct was to curl up into a small ball when picked up like that to be carried easier. Which, unfortunately, was exactly what she ended up doing. Tail between her legs her paws were gathered up as close to center as possible and she was arched over in as much of a circle as she could get. She didn't want to comply so easily, but it wasn't exactly easy to fight off something natural.
Even as he tossed her aside and stormed off into the forest, she needed a little more time to wonder what had really caused him to rage like that. All she had done was touch his things...
Perhaps.. those weapons were as important to him as her necklace. If that was the case, then perhaps she could call things even with him. Then again, if he was like that with every single thing he owned, then nothing was special to him and she wouldn't be even. She had to know. He didn't tell her where he was going though and already lost track of which way he had gone. She would have to wait for him here.
Yet, there was no way she would be talking to him unprepared. If he attacked her again for sticking around the entrance to his home, there was no way she could dodge his attacks now, he'd patched her up but she needed another day or two. Standing up, Rinka used her time wisely.
Whenever Kazen should return, he would find a line in front of him glowing softly on the ground no matter what angle he came from, a large circle being drawn. Within it, the area inside the circle would be littered with smaller ones, covering the clearing around his pedestal portal, ready to activate on first contact. Then, right on top, would be a sleeping Rinka, resting from pouring bits of her magic into every spell placed.

Spending most of the day in town, Kazen returns home just with a book, wanting to just get everything at once tomorrow. Upon reaching the clearing where his portal was, he finds a large circle around the clearing, with smaller circles inside it spread throughout the place. And on the pedestal, was Rin, sleeping. Angered she had stayed though he told her to leave, he stopped before reaching the circle, realizing it gave off a scene of magic, and was likely going to activate something if he stepped within it. Deciding to play cautious, he walked around the circle, looking for a weak spot in the alarm he may be able to exploit. Finding none, he sighs and tries to think of a way to get through the barrier. Leaving his book in what he hoped would be a safe location, a approaches the circle and conjures his sword (not blades of darkness his actual katana.) Drawing it, he creates a blade of darkness around it, hoping this plan would work. Leaving it on the ground, creating three more true blades of darkness as a precaution, he circles to the other side of the clearing. Taking a deep breath, knowing this plan could be risky, he walks through the circle with just his sheathe, walking straight to Rin where she's sleeping.

The circle continued its feint glow as he passed, though a constant presence might seem to loom over Kazen if he perceived it, like something was watching him very closely. It didn't register any hostility from him just yet, the weapons being outside. Now that he was on the inside though, he might also feel a shift in the atmosphere that was simply meant to strike a cord in normal animal's instincts to stay away from the smaller circles and leave so they weren't activated.
Rinka still slept soundly, unawaken just yet.

Upon entering the circle and feeling the strange difference in atmosphere, Kazen approached more cautiously then before, avoiding the circles on the ground as he approached Rin on the pedestal. Examining the circles as he passed, he still couldn't tell what they were supposed to be for, not knowing a lot about witchcraft other then the basics from a few books he'd read. When he finally starts to get close, seeing an open path with no more circles between him and her, he stops being cautious for a minute and just picks up his pace, walking directly to the center.

If he should get within five feet of Rin, a circle bigger than the others would spring to life, having been more subtle and grass combed over it to hide it from obvious view better. Once broken, the circle would waken Rinka with a jolt, causing her to leap away from the man quickly, putting more distance between them. She wouldn't hiss or growl, or even attack at seeing him this time, she only wanted answers.

Not noticing the circle, Kazen walks over it straight at Rin. Startled by her sudden leap back, he spreads his fingers slightly, ready to call the swords expecting an attack. However, since she didn't attack, seeming just to jump away from him, he relaxed and just watched her action.
"I told you to leave, Rin. Why are you still here?"

Brushing her fur off casually to get any dirt off that may have clung, Rinka raises an eyebrow. "I stayed to find out if we were even or not. I want to know how precious those swords are too you."
It was mainly his answer that would ultimately decide if she either pretended to leave him alone since he wanted nothing to do with her anymore, or actually did leave him in peace with a feeling of equality.

Kazen raises an eyebrow at her question, not expecting this in the least. "How precious are they? Why would you want to know that?" Eying her wearily, he again readies the blades, expecting a true attack at any moment this time.

Watching his movements closely, Rinka stands as relaxed as she dares, spreading out her fingers as she puts one hand on her hip and the other playing with her necklace.
"Because, I want to know if I had made you just as angry over something precious to you as you made me over this necklace. So just how dear are they too you?"

Eying her movements, he still doesn't trust her to not try something. "What, is that necklace important or something? If so, I didn't mean to take it, I found it on my floor and wondered what it was and how it got there." Still not knowing why she's asking about his armory, he decides that he;d like to know about the necklace as well, since she seemed to freak when she found it.

Turning up her nose at the question, she wasn't particularly sure if she would answer him or not. In the end, she decided it didn't matter, she was kicked out anyway, her other jewels were still under the couch, but they didn't matter so much, she'd get more. "My mother gave me this necklace. And where did you think those other jewel's came from? I was laying right over them with all of mine suddenly gone. You can't stand there and truthfully tell me you didn't have a single guess on how a pile of random jewels suddenly appeared under your couch when it just so happened I wasn't wearing any of mine."

Kazen just sighs, shaking his head, tired of this. "Look, could you please leave? I'm tired still and would like to just go take a nap or something." He knew he was completely ignoring her question, but he didn't feel like answering it at the time.

A low growl rumbled deep in her chest, not only was he ignoring her, but he was the tired one? Did he know exactly what he had done to her? Not to mention this whole ordeal was his fault, he was the reason she was here to begin with. Unable to take much more, Rin marched right up into the man's personal space and poke him roughly in the chest.
"Listen up you narcissistic, spoiled, ungrateful, ignorant little child. You've been nothing but cruel and hurtful toward me the entire time, burning my feet, shooting daggers at me, tossing me to the ground like some junky, broken ragdoll, I want to know what the hell your deal is and won't leave you alone until you start answering me!!"

Kazen sighs and just pushes Rin out of his personal space. "Well, sorry if I was trying to be nice, whenever I did something I tried to make it up to you, but apparently you are just like every other gnat in this world. You see me as a creature of chaos and destruction, true, I can be that, but when I try to not be it, all anyone ever does is do everything in their power to make my life hell, if not kill me. So I'm sorry I've hurt you, or stolen from you by accident, or WHATEVER, but every time I try to do something nice, you just find some way to make it hell for everyone. Now get out of here." He turns and walks towards the way he had come into the clearing, meaning to circle back around and get his book before getting back into his home.

At first all Rinka could do was tremble in anger after he pushed her back, on a streak of rage while she tried to listen. What really got her attention though, was that he actually apologized. Even after boiling over at her, he still found the means to admit he was in the wrong for causing her harm and taking things.
While she still couldn't believe that he couldn't put two and two together about the jewels being hers, she could at least call them square enough to quell her own anger. Being half-demon couldn't be easy, they did have a bad reputation and the moments when he was being destructive really wouldn't help. It may be his own fault that people still hated him when he was in a rare mood to be 'nicer,' but that was the way he was born.
It was bitter-sweet to hear that she had indeed made him go through hell when he put it like that. Rin wasn't heartless, and plenty able to feel guilty. Sighing, she sat herself right back on top of the pedestal while he went to get something, ears laid flat against her head waiting for him to come back.

Kazen gets his book and returns to find Rin still there. He glares at her as he says "I thought I told you to get out of here." He extends his hand, calling his swords, the three blades of darkness disintegrating as they reach him, but his real sword flies into his hand and he sheathes it without missing a beat.

Sensing the sudden hostility along with means to carry this out enter its field, the large perimeter circle's glow intensifies before thing streaks of light spread out to the smaller circle, making their glow slightly more intense as well. Afterward it sends a small alarming jolt incase she was asleep then fades out.
Glancing to him, Rinka doesn't react to him taking arms against her, simply looking up into his eyes. "I know.. but I should probably apologize as well. I don't know what you've been through, but maybe I shouldn't have gone quite so far to even the score." Standing up, she bows her head to him, "I'm sorry for the extra trouble."

Kazen sighs as he opens the portal to his house. He walks up to her and pats her bowed head before turning back to his portal, looking over his shoulder at her. "I'd rather just forget this ever happened, so there's nothing to apologize for. Just don't try anything like that again, and I won't hold a grudge.....this time." Almost as a side note he adds "Also, could you please clean up these circles before you go? I don't want to step outside and something random happening to me in my own front yard." With that he steps through his portal, closing it behind him.

Shaking her head, Rinka still couldn't shake the fact that she thought she had tipped the scales too far in her act of revenge this time. She had to do something to make up for the gap. For the last half of the day she worked on deactivating the circles, using the time to think of something.
After everything was cleaned up, it was nearly nightfall and only one thing had come to mind to make things right again.
Nodding to herself, Rinka made a second portal that would lead her back to her home she needed to save all the time she could now. She left the portal open though the night while she worked on her end, hoping that even he would be curious enough to see what was inviting him so bluntly.

The next day, Kazen steps through the portal that is his door into the clearing, only to find a new random portal in his front lawn. Sighing, having wanted to go into town but now needed to figure out where this went, he went back into his house to get his sword, having decided to just carry it around with him from now on as constantly summoning it was a hassle. Drawing it, he put the end of it through the portal, waving it around a little bit to make sure it was safe. Deciding that it was as safe as he can deem it without actually going through it, he sheathed his sword and stepped through the mysterious portal.

A thin trail of smoke would be noticeable from the top of the house, a sign that something was being cooked or baked. During the night, Rinka had returned home from the house of a man she still didn't know the name of. At first it had been rather nice, he didn't seem as evil or chaotic as when they first met, she even cooked him dinner and had the chance to find out a little more about him. It had all taken a turn for the worst, however, when he'd stolen her prized possession, a deep blue sapphire necklace that had belonged to her mother and was passed down to Rin. She had been out to make the man's life miserable and all around a living hell for what he did, but in the end she came to realize that had been what he went through constantly anyway.
Feeling the sting of guilt, she was determined to make it up to him one way or another so she had left a portal outside his own home in hopes that he would at least investigate to see who was inviting him over. Throughout the night she summoned a couple creatures to go out hunting animals for her since she was injured then picked various herbs from her garden to prepare dishes. All in all she had gone through the night preparing foods off all sorts, and even well into the day she was waiting on some of the meats such as the chicken to finish cooking, wanting them to be the perfect temperature. This is where she was now, sitting in a chair watching over the chicken in the stove, her head bobbing occasionally as she fought to stay awake though the process.

Coming out of the portal, the first thing Kazen saw was a strange house, it didn't seem anything special in his eyes, but a trail of smoke rose from it, confirming someone was home. Sighing, he assumed someone wanted him to come here and had left the portal for him to find. Deciding to humor whoever it was, he walked up to the house and knocked on the door and waited for an answer.

The knock at the door didn't startle Rinka awake like it should have, she was use to people occasionally coming in, looking for a place to stay for the night after having gotten lost. Arching her back slowly, she stretched as she stood, letting out a toothy yawn when she answered the door. Squinting at the figure that stood before her, her cat-like eyes contracted to slits to focus through the tired haze. "Ah.. yes, I had been expecting you.." It was amazing how excited she sounded that he really came.
Turning back, Rin headed back into her house, waving a claw for him to follow, "You don't have to close the door, I usually leave it open anyway." She returned to watch the chicken over the fire, sitting back in the chair. There was no other chair, and nor was there a table, the only one she sat in seeming to be for that specific purpose- sitting and watching over food. The rest of the dishes were spread out on a large blanket designed with what seemed to be different parts of the forest. Everything was either covered or wrapped to keep it warm. "Would you prefer to sit in a chair or on the ground..?"

Entering, smelling something like cooked chicken as he entered, he looks around, not seeing any tables or chairs, except the one Rin was sitting in. What he should do next is answered by her question "I guess.....whichever is fine, I'm not really picky." Seeing a large blanket with various designs and random things wrapped and covered spread over the blanket. Wondering what this was about, he sets his sword on the ground beside him and sits on ground by the blanket.

Letting out another yawn, Rinka looked behind her to see half-demon sitting on the ground by the blanket instead of on it. "I'm a mind reader you know.. this isn't some sort of trap.." She wasn't really, but she had a guess as to how he saw her. An annoying feline that had already proven she could go hostile over something as little as a necklace. Even if he actually did comprehend just how much it meant to her, she still didn't think he trusted her in the least now.
Taking a few more minuets to let the chicken cook, she soon took it off the stick that held it over the fire. Her pads acted a little like oven mitts, giving her some heat resistance against warmth even if it didn't work against outright fire. She let it slide off onto a large plate, not bothering to wrap it since he was here now. Taking up a knife and extra plate to set in front of the man, Rin sat on the blanket with the chicken and began to carve. "You can sit on the blanket you know, it's surprisingly soft.."

Kazen highly doubted she was a mind reader, since he hadn't actually thought of this as a trap before she mentioned it. Still, he didn't trust her much, and he was now in her home, so there was no telling what she may have planned. At the invitation, he shifted onto the blanket, moving his sword so it was now behind him and not on the blanket. Watching her put a plate in front of his and carve the chicken, he guessed that she wanted him to eat with her. Having not actually eaten much but the few pieces of toast he had around his house since he still needed to go to town, he was actually pretty hungry. But still suspicious of her, he had to ask at least this. "So, I'm guessing you left the portal outside my house, since you were expecting me. But still, why go through all this trouble after what happened? I thought you hated me now." Though he had really forgotten about it as he had said he would, he had expected her to still hate him after it, so her inviting him to dinner was the last thing he had expected.

Rinka finished cutting the chicken, taking one of the rib bones to set on her plate and pick her teeth with later -very lady like-. She started uncovering food next. All manor of things had been made. Soup, salad, deer meat, more fish though made into sushi this time, sandwiches of all varieties, some even plain if he should want to customize his own with various other ingredients laid out like pickles, tomatoes, ect. There were breakfast foods as well since she wasn't sure what time he would be over if he did decide to venture through the portal. It was more like a days feast than one meal, mostly because she expected him to take some with him to enjoy later.
Shrugging at his question, she leaned over and started piling up her plate, starved.
"Nope, I'm actually in love with you." It was meant to be sarcastic, but came out as if it were a blatant fact because she was tired.

Kazen just stared at her in shock for a second. "Wait....you what now?!" This had completely thrown him off, fully expecting her to hate him. He stares at her for a few more seconds before shaking his head quickly to clear it and just focuses on the food, which was delicious and he devoured it quickly then just as quickly looks for something else to try. He thinks to himself: "I may never figure out what this cat's deal is, but one thing's for sure, she is a great cook." As soon as he decides on something else he takes some and starts eating it as well.
